- switching fieldpath syntax to reference best practices already in the
spec
- clarifying naming of the object reference field
- fixing a poor example with a kind used where a resource value should
have been.
|
|
- switched from kind to resource.
- extended examples to four kinds of object references.
- clarified use of JSON Pointer to determine the path to the field.
|
|
There are a few types of patterns for multi-kind object references
that are currently included in the Kubernetes core resources
(EnvVarSource, ObjectReference).
Adding a section to clarify the preferred pattern for future
resources.

New channel for security assessment of cluster api
|
|
|
|
From SIG-Security's last weekly meeting an action item was to create a new channel in order to facilitate a focussed discussion on security assessment of cluster-api (a sub project of kubernetes). This is a first attempt of a security assessment of a sub-project performed in collaboration with sig-security of the parent graduated project.
Since we are breaking new ground here, I am happy to revisit if this channel should be a prefixed as `wg` or `sig`. We intend to periodically revisit the results from our assessments, so I do not see this as a time-bound effort but more of a continuous improvement cycle.

As CoCC collects information on an incident report it is important
that folks understand not just that this is done confidentially,
but also a little more about how it is done, eg: in which forums
and by which people.

- adding documentation increases awareness that this label exists and can help PRs get merged quicker
- Manual squash causes removal of lgtm label and re-run of CI tests.
